Rotary District 9640 Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar 2011 - 2012 - Dr Hannah Wills, MBBS (Hons) is from Alstonville and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lismore West, with PP Norm Robinson acting as Hannah’s Rotary Counsellor. Hannah is doing a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Embryology at Oxford University, England, commencing her Studies in October. Hannah’s Ambassadorial Scholarship is valued at $US27,000. Her host Club in England is the Rotary Club of Didcot. Sustainable Cambodia Program – Lismore West in association with the Rotary Club of Summerland Sunrise, is conducting a TRIVIA Night on Thurs 24 November at the Lismore Heights Bowling Club, to raise funds to carry out further international service humanitarian projects in Cambodia. Sister Rotary Clubs - Lismore West has a Sister Club association with the Rotary Club of Yamato Takada, Japan, established in April, 1995 and with the Rotary Club of Christchurch West, NZ established on 1 July, 2011. Disaster Aid Australia – Lismore West provided Box No AUS 1568 at a cost of $800.00 for Horn of Africa refugees. Kobilo High School, Kenya – Lismore West sent $1,755 to help provide more educational facilities for The School. Rotary Oceaia Medical Aid For Children - donation of $500. |
